DESCRIPTION:York County Community Action Corporation will hold its 3rd Annual Fall Ceilidh and Silent Auction at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport. A ceilidh   pronounced KAY-LEE\, from the Gaelic   refers to a social event with Irish and Scottish folk music\, singing\, and traditional dancing. Our ceilidh brings together people of all ages for a night of dance\, song\, food\, drink\, and celebration. The traditional Irish dance music band\, The Press Gang\, based in Portland\, provides the music\, and a "dance caller" leads our guests through the various dance steps. The evening also includes a silent auction fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will benefit services specific to York County children (birth to age 18   including WIC\, Head Start/children's services\, and health services)\, along with programming that assists our senior population (health care\, transportation and fuel assistance).
