It is also the Animal Welfare Society's largest fundraising event of the year. Due to the generosity of our underwriting sponsor\, Kennebunk Savings\, all registration fees\, sponsorships and pledge money raised from the walk benefit pets needing medical care.\n\n\n\n \n\nHow Can I Help?\n\nSign up to walk! Get your friends and family together\, along with your favorite pooches\, and form a team. Registration is now open for the 2016 Strut! Click here to register.\n\nAsk for pledges! Pledges from your friends\, family members\, coworkers and neighbors directly help to pay for medical care to make pets\, happy and healthy. The more money we raise\, the more pets we can help! \n\nJoin the Pet Pavilion! New this year: we'll have a special area set up for artisans and craftspeople who specialize in animal-related products. For more information\, please call 207-985-3244 x123.\n\nWho Benefits?\n\nPets like Honey!\n\nHoney came to AWS having received little\, if any\, veterinary care in her life. As a senior dog\, she had periodontal disease. At her first medical appointment\, several masses were discovered on her chest. The veterinarian provided a full dental cleaning and polishing. He also removed the masses on her chest. Samples were biopsied\, and fortunately\, the results came back negative.
