2021 FIREWORKS! Cancelled
JULY 4th FIREWORKS TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR LATER THIS YEAR!
After discussions with town officials, we have decided that in the interest of public safety, it would be best to host our July 4th fireworks later this year.
Most of our surrounding communities are not hosting fireworks at all or are hosting them on July 3 or 5, so we could have substantially larger crowds than the already large crowds we have on that day. The town's resources are stretched thin with the "normal" crowd size on the 4th, and public safety officials do not believe they would be able to adequately staff for significantly larger crowds. In addition, high tide is at 8:35p that night, so we would not be able to use the beach as a space for spectators, further crowding the streets in town and the Marginal Way.
Our events committee will be discussing when to best reschedule for everyone's benefit and safety. Stay tuned & we will be sure to let you know!
