Assistant General Manager

Position Summary:  The Assistant General Manager reports to the General Manager on a daily basis and as needed.  The Assistant General Manager plays a leading role in managing both materials and personnel.  Oversight of inventory, purchasing, and supplies is central to the job.  Human Resources tasks include determining needs, hiring employees, overseeing assignment of employees and planning staff development.  The Assistant General Manager oversees the Front Desk Operation as well as the operations of our other departments:  Maintenance, Housekeeping, Events, and Sales.  The Assistant General Manager works closely with all department members and is responsible for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager.  An important goal of the Assistant General Manager is to work on employee retention and overall happiness.  The Assistant General Manager oversees every aspect of the hotel to ensure smooth operation and maximum profit.
