Ogunquit Chamber Welcome Center is Open
The Ogunquit Chamber Welcome Center has reopened to the general public, after a three month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitors will notice some changes due to the need for safe operations this summer. The Chamber has instituted social distance markings on the floor, and created a one-way traffic flow to help guests remain the recommended six feet apart. Plexiglass has been installed at the information desk to help keep guests and Chamber team members healthy, and there is plenty of hand sanitizer available. There is also a "touch it, please take it" policy for all printed brochures, visitor's guides and magazines available for pick-up at the welcome center.
Per Governor Mills' executive order, we kindly request that all guests wear masks while in the building, to help keep other guests and Chamber team members healthy.
In addition, our public restrooms are closed for the season. There are public restrooms available for all guests in Jacob's Lot (behind Bangor Savings Bank), at Main Beach and in Perkins Cove.
What hasn't changed are the big "so happy to see you" smiles of our welcome center team, our extensive knowledge of the community that we love, our insiders' tips on how to get the most out of your visit, and how much we enjoy seeing our guests back in Ogunquit. And, while the chaos of the pandemic has necessitated changes in the way that our welcome center, our lodging establishments, our restaurants, our shops, Marginal Way and our beaches are organized this year, you'll still enjoy the friendly service and eclectic and joyful atmosphere that makes Ogunquit such a special place to be.
And, yes, the ocean is still here ... and our community is still the "beautiful place by the sea."
We look forward to welcoming you to Ogunquit this season & hope to see you soon!
