Join us for our 34th Annual Christmas by the Sea Celebration.
Come celebrate the sights and sounds of the season. This year's Christmas by the Sea has been reimagined following state mandated guidelines with a variety of fun and safe activities for the whole family
December 13th
1pm - A Christmas Carol: Dinner with Dickens at Clay Hill Farm - A one-man dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' beloved classic starring Kirk Simpson.
Tickets are $20 plus food and beverage. Go to www.clayhillfarm.com for ticket information.
2pm - 3 pm - Wells Christmas Parade - This years parade will be a reverse parade meaning the parade watchers are the ones driving the cars and floats and participants will be lined up on the street! We've changed the venue of the parade from Route 1 to Harbor Park, 331 Harbor Road, Wells. The entrance will be clearly marked. For more details, call the Wells Chamber of Commerce at 207-646-2451.
Nikano's Big Fat Greek Closing Party - following brunch at 3pm Bar is open while we give away our food until it's gone. We will be accepting donations for NAMI, an organization that benefits mental health.
4pm - Mainstreet - Footloose Virtual XMAS Tea Dance Ugly Sweater Contest - It's the most TACKY time of the year. We're having a party (virtual of course) and things are going to get UGLY. We all know that during the pandemic people are safer being outside when possible.
Therefore, to support our local businesses while keeping the owners, employees, and patrons safe, local businesses will continue to offer outside sales during Christmas by the Sea weekend.
Make a Senior Smile!
December 1st-14th Cardmaking craft for kids. This year has been especially hard on seniors as some have felt socially isolated due to Covid-19 restrictions. I'm sure they would love to know that you are thinking of them this holiday season. This year the Ogunquit Chamber has teamed up with Sentry Hill York Harbor Senior Living facility to help put a smile on their residents faces. How can you participate: Bring the kids to the Ogunquit Welcome Center located at 36 Main St. (next to the Playhouse). Pick up a card marking kit. Each kit includes everything needed to make one card per resident. Kit includes: Blank card, crayons, stickers and a stamped envelope addressed to the resident. Just decorate, write your message and pop it in the mail.
Book Signing at Village Toy Funatic
December 1st-13th Matt Tavares will be joining us for our virtual/re-imagined book signing event through December 13th. Matt has graciously offered to sign and personalize his books including NY Times Bestsellers list Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever. Ogunquit resident and author Brenda Yorke Goodale has also generously offered to personalize her two books which are based in Perkins Cove. Brenda is the author of Pride of Perkins Cove and her newest book called Mermaid Under the Bridge. The books will be available to pre-order via phone or in store by filling out a form with the personalization information of each book purchased. Reindeer Round-Up Scavenger Hunt

Help Santa round-up all his reindeer before Christmas Eve and be entered to win a $50 Gift of Ogunquit gift certificate. Virtual Tree Lighting (pre-recorded)
6:30pm - Join us virtually as we light up the tree in Veteran's Park. We know it's not the same as being here but we can still share in the magic together.

Please note: We do not want to encourage a crowd so the lighting will be pre-recorded at an undisclosed date and time.

Drive-thru Santa Adventures
First stop: Bangor Savings Bank -12:30pm-2:30pm - Join us for this magical event as we spread Christmas cheer to all our friends! You and the family will remain safely in your vehicle and "drive thru" to be greeted by Santa and his elves. Santa has some special giveaways for every child that comes to visit. We encourage you to tune into 94.9 WHOM for some holiday tunes to get you in the spirit, pack the hot chocolate and have some fun.
Second Stop: Letters to Santa via Perkins Cove Sail Mail Express -12:30pm-3pm - After you've been to visit Santa at the drive thru, head over to Perkins Cove and put your letters to Santa in the special mail box that is located in Rotary Park. You will be greeted with some sweet treats courtesy of Perkins Cove Candies. The Perkins Cove Sail Mail Express will make sure your letters get delivered to the big guy before Christmas.

4pm - Ogunquit Ocean Rescue Polar Plunge at Main Beach - Come support Toys for Tots and cheer on our Ogunquit Ocean Rescue Service as they brave the wintry elements. Please bring unwrapped toys, donations, and plenty of good cheer! There will be an extreme low-tide this day offering plenty of room for people to socially distance while enjoying the event. The lifeguards will also be taking extra measures to keep themselves and you safe.
Cozy up at Goods on Shore Rd.
Join us around the firepit and warm up with a cozy blanket. Sip on some hot cocoa and apple cider. We will also be having a pop-up donut shop!
