Masquerade Ball at The Lady Mary Inn

Masquerade Balls' were popular in the 18th century. Guests wore extravagant costumes, often referencing historical royalty, mythological goddesses and various characters of antiquity and  used ornate masks to conceal their real identity. Great fun was had trying to guess the identities of those you were dancing with!

This trend changed over time with many Victorians straying away from a sense of disguise to dress base more on personality and character while other guests still expressed their creativity by dressing as seasons, fairies, and butterflies.

The Lady Mary Inn welcomes you to celebrate Halloween with our second annual Masquerade Ball. Our guests are encouraged to attend in ornate costumes reflecting their personality. The more outrageous - the better!

This is a 21 year old and older event with live music and refreshments.
