The THE BAND Band – Tribute to Bob Dylan & The Band
There is perhaps no more influential, profound, successful, or enigmatic songwriter in history than Bob Dylan. From the “protest songs” of his early years to his introspective, sometimes caustic commentary on love and humanity, his songs are the cornerstone of the soundtrack of his generation, and have garnered countless awards and honors around the world. In 2016, he added the Nobel prize for literature to his resume.
Dylan and The Band will forever be remembered as one of the most creative and influential musical partnerships in rock and roll history, from Dylan’s first world tour after “going electric” in 1965 to his roof-raising performance at The Band’s Last Waltz in 1976, and beyond. For this special show, The THE BAND Band will perform Dylan classics like “Like A Rolling Stone,” “All Along The Watchtower” and “Just Like A Woman” as well as some of his ‘deeper cuts.’ And to honor Dylan’s relationship with The Band, you can expect to hear a few favorites like “The Weight,” “Up On Cripple Creek,” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
The THE BAND Band is the only nationally touring group dedicated exclusively to bringing The Band’s music to life with authentic, true-to-form renditions of their extraordinary repertoire. From hit songs as well as deep cuts from their classic albums, to the historic collaborations with Bob Dylan, The THE BAND Band delivers with the passion and commitment for which The Band was renowned. Touring since 2007, The THE BAND Band has earned critical acclaim for their musicality as well as for the incredible energy they create at their concerts. Gary Solomon (bass, vocals), Jack Kraft Dimond (keyboards, accordion, mandolin, vocals), Josh Radin (guitar, vocals), Loren Korevec (piano, vocals), and Frank Pagano (drums, vocals) bring a show not to be missed!
