Retail Sales Associate Full time/part time

The Village Toy Funatic is a whimsical neighborhood toy store located on Main Street in Ogunquit Maine. We take great pride helping our customer by sharing our knowledge about the unique, fun, high quality toys and books that we sell in our store. The store is filled with toys for the young and the young at heart. We are hiring sales associates to be part of our busy, creative and high energy store environment.
Responsibilities-
~ Must be self-motivated, a team player, friendly, creative, and like children!
~ Enjoy greeting and engaging with customers.
~ Experience in merchandising and window displays helpful but not a requirement!
~ Have an interest in the toy market by researching and following trends.
~ Becoming one of our Toy experts by learning and demonstrating products.
~ Perform general sales and operations tasks such as register sales, gift wrapping, process inventory, restocking and customer service.
~ Promoting events and products via social media.
~ Be part of hosting and promoting special events throughout the year
~ Nurture customer relationships and respond to their requests
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain a customer-focused environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional appearance and attitude.
